Hi Robert,

I feel like I neglect my own blog quite a bit more than I'd like due to pressing work and family life. Still, I liked to pop in now and again to Picture Club and see and comment on what's been posted since I last came calling. Sorry I didn't participate more. If you are so willing, I'd be interested in participating again if you decide to start it back up.

Best Regards,
--Eric

I'm so sad. It has been just 3 of us lately, so I can understand when there is not much interest. What a pity. Hopefully it will happen again in the future. Thank you Robert for having this site. I really enjoyed and I learnt quite a lot. Let me know of any future sites that you may open. Alia

no offence, it takes a bit more to upset me. The picture may only work in a series of similiar views so the viewer can read the intention a bit better. The picture may not work at all even in a series, but when I printed it the picture had something I really liked, so now it sits on my wall as a part of many other pictures and i'll decide in some time if it shoudl be binned.

I didn't mean to hurt your feelings Robert, sorry! It is an honest view of your neighbourhood and I appreciate that. I see where you're coming from now. Maybe I should take a look at my neighbourhood and photograph it too. One takes a lot for granted these days and ignores the things that are under one's nose. I might start to see my neighbour hood in a different light when I start viewing it through a lens.

this is urban landscape, this is the way I see the area I live in when I go for a walk.
There are no clear views of pretty things, always a tree trunk, always a telegraph pole (dead tree), always for sale signs, always parked cars and broken fences.
While you may be drawn to one colourful tree, I see all of this as it is shown here, for me this is the truth, honestly.

I didn't notice she was holding anything. The figurine is in the black colour space of her top. I can also see that is a tile on the table. I'm so unobserving. I like the concentration on her face. She is totally drawn in to what she is doing.

She's not actually painting a picture. She's painting the miniature figurine she's holding and she's mixing the paint on a tile. I've posted similar pics of my son painting them in Nov/Dec 08. You can't really see the figurine here. This is the last good one in this series as we've moved the painting gear to another room and the table is against a wall. I'll have to sneak behind them now.
